Barry Bonds Family Foundation 2015 Grantees

POSTED BY: Barry Bonds in FOUNDATION

Through my Family Foundation, I have had the opportunity to partner with and support some exceptional organizations over the years. From local community clubs to national education initiatives, it has been an honor and a blessing to be able to give back to these organizations to support their efforts of bettering the community, helping those in need, and inspiring others.

With great pleasure, I would like to acknowledge some of the organizations that I partnered with and supported this past year.

Tam Cycling

Tam Cycling is committed to empowering women for athletic achievement, while working in partnership with the entire cycling community to assure equality by establishing and maintaining a safe, quality women’s cycling program. The organization provides multiple services, leadership programs and opportunities for female athlete in effort to develop and foster a national armature women’s athletic team.

UCSF Children’s Hospital

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital creates an environment where children and their families find compassionate care at the forefront of scientific discovery, with more than 150 experts in 50 medical specialties serving patients throughout Northern California and beyond. The hospital admits about 5,000 children each year, including 2,000 babies born in the hospital.

Reading Partners

Reading Partners is dedicated to unlocking the skills of students who struggle with reading. We provide one-on-one reading instruction to elementary school students reading below grade level to help them succeed in school and in life. We partner with under-resourced schools and engage volunteer reading partners (community tutors) to help students who struggle with reading unlock and develop the foundational skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

Aim High

Aim High is committed to closing the opportunity and achievement gaps in Northern California through our transformational summer learning program. We envision every middle school student having access to joyful summer learning, inspired and innovative teachers, and the support they need to succeed in school and life.

Silicon Valley Education Foundation: Elevate [Math] Program

Elevate [Math] provides students with instruction from a credentialed teacher, utilizing curriculum developed by a team of experts to address concepts students typically struggled with and introducing new content based on the grade 8 Common Core State Standards.

Super Stars Literacy

Super Stars Literacy provides extended learning time intervention services to under-performing K-2nd grade students, helping them develop the literacy and social skills that are the foundation for future learning.
